PSK31 in an X11 window, the graphical companion to psk31lx

What it does

Works PSK31 through a sound card with a Motif interface: a tuning display for finding and locking the signal, receive and transmit panes, and programmable macros for the repeated parts of a contact.

Why you would want it

It is small and does one mode. fldigi is the right answer for an operator who wants twenty modes and a station's worth of integration; this is the right answer for someone who wants PSK31 and a window, on a machine where starting fldigi is more than the job needs.

Before it will work

An X11 session with Motif, sound card audio to and from the radio, and PTT.

How it installs

Known problems

Motif, so no modern theming and no HiDPI scaling. As with psk31lx the upstream is gone -- wa0eir.bcts.info does not resolve (checked 2026-08-28) -- so what Debian ships is what exists. For anything beyond PSK31, fldigi covers the same ground and is maintained.
