Status: untested — catalogued from documented sources, not yet proven here.
Not maintainer-verified: nobody on this project has run this hardware yet. The two facts are recorded separately on purpose (D-027) — a correct recipe and a tested device are different claims.
What it is¶
The laptop's built-in webcam, a Sunplus Innovation module wired to the machine's internal USB bus and driven by uvcvideo as /dev/videoN.
What you can do with it¶
Park it so no program can open the camera, and wake it for a video call. See the camera class for what a park does and does not promise.
Setup¶
Nothing to install. hammunition hardware park camera and hammunition hardware wake camera. Parking has not been run on this camera.
Known problems¶
Parking is the kernel's view, not a hardware privacy switch. A program holding the camera open loses it on park as it would on an unplug.
