limesuite¶
Host tools and library for LimeSDR hardware
- Version recorded: 23.11.0
- Categories:
sdr-hardware - Upstream: https://github.com/myriadrf/LimeSuite
What it does¶
LimeUtil, LimeQuickTest and the LimeSuiteGUI, plus the library the SoapySDR module is built against, for configuring and calibrating the LMS7002M transceiver.
Why you would want it¶
LimeSDR hardware needs calibration in a way most SDRs do not, and these are the tools that do it. LimeUtil --find is the first diagnostic.
Before it will work¶
LimeSDR hardware. The limesdr hardware entry carries three identifiers confirmed from Debian's own 64-limesuite.rules (the maintainer still owns none — the gap was closed from the distribution rule, 2026-08-26), so rules can be generated from the catalog.
How it installs¶
- apt:
limesuite
Known problems¶
Upstream has moved to LimeSuiteNG while every target still ships the classic 23.11 release (apt-cache policy on all four targets, 2026-08-28); the two are not interchangeable and documentation written for one will not match the other. The USB and Mini boards are different hardware with different quirks.
Keeping it current¶
- probe: apt policy
- strategy: apt_upgrade
