What it does¶
Native GNU Radio source and sink blocks for the LimeSDR family, exposing the device's own controls -- per-channel gain stages, the analogue and digital filter chain, NCO and calibration -- rather than the lowest common denominator a generic wrapper offers.
Why you would want it¶
You can reach a LimeSDR through gr-osmosdr or SoapySDR, and for simple receive that is enough. This is for when it is not: full-duplex operation, both channels at once, and the filter and calibration control that MIMO and transmit work actually need.
Before it will work¶
LimeSDR hardware and LimeSuite, which this catalog carries separately. Device firmware and gateware must match the LimeSuite version, and that mismatch is the most common LimeSDR problem.
How it installs¶
- apt:
gr-limesdr
Known problems¶
The maintainer does not own this hardware, so nothing here is maintainer-verified (D-027) -- it is carried because other operators have the devices. Version-locked to GNU Radio like every out-of-tree module. LimeSDR transmits, and what you emit is your responsibility.
Keeping it current¶
- probe: apt policy
- strategy: apt_upgrade
