Host tools and library for the Airspy HF+ HF and VHF receiver

What it does

The library and utilities for the Airspy HF+ Discovery and its predecessors — a different product line from the Airspy R2 and Mini, aimed at HF and low VHF.

Why you would want it

The HF+ is one of the better inexpensive HF receivers, and it is a separate driver from the wideband Airspy line. Installing the wrong one is why a working HF+ appears dead.

Before it will work

Airspy HF+ hardware and the 03eb:800c udev rule shipped by libairspyhf1, recorded in the airspy hardware entry.

How it installs

  • apt: airspyhf

Known problems

Distinct from the airspy package, which does not see this hardware. It is a receiver only and covers HF and low VHF rather than the wideband range the R2 covers.
